My teaching philosophy is that we should all challenge ourselves to learn and grow, but also have fun at the same time, working within a supportive atmosphere.
Dance isn’t easy, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun! I enjoy challenging my body and mind with harder combos, more layers, and finger cymbals. The feeling of achievement when I finally nail that hard combo is the best feeling in the world.
If you want that feeling, too, but you aren’t sure you’re ready to commit to a full class, I have some options for taking a free dance class.
Free full beginner class on KamrahOnline – great for finding out if you’re ready to fall in love with raqs sharqi (aka “belly dance”)
Free cardio dance classes on YouTube – no treadmills, no going to the gym, no equipment needed, NO BURPEES EVER, and I give modifications for different levels of impact. New classes come up when I can (I promise to get them up more often lol, but you know, COVID happened and that threw a wrench into my filming schedule). (Just FYI, it’s best if you’re familiar with a little bit of raqs sharqi dance vocabulary to be comfortable in this class)
